The Manitoba Association of Playwrights, formed in 1979, is a growing association which provides support for playwrights in Manitoba through the operation of programs for emerging and established playwrights. Each year we conduct a diverse, flexible number of programs to help the playwright. MAP co-operates with local theatres to develop playwriting in the province. We have ongoing ties with the 9 other Canadian Playwrights Centres, as member of the Playwrights Development Centres of Canada.
We are open to any one interested in the continuing health of playwriting and the production of new plays in Manitoba, and Canadian, theatres. Contact us for more information about our programs.

First Fridays in the Exchange District
A free, year-round, once-a-month event in the Exchange District & Galleries-along with cafés and small businesses-open their doors to the public.
This event is on the first Friday of each month from 5 to 9 p.m.
